Surge...where is it?

Question

I have been tracking my cycle for a year prior to ttc the last two months.  My cycle is about 27-28 days.  Felt mid-cycle cramps two nights ago.  I have been doing ovulation tests for the past four days,  and nothing.  I don't get it.  Why the cramps and no surge?

No idea, but I'm right there with you. All the other signs are there (actually, "were" there as they have now faded), but I never got a surge. Now my temperature's been up for a couple of days, so I'm thinking I might have ovulated. But again, never got a positive OPK.

I've heard that surges can happen overnight while you sleep and some can last just a few hours. That could be why you missed it.
