I need advice!!!

So sophomore year of high school this guy asked for my number in a McDonald’s and he was super super cute so I obviously was into it! Then when we talked it was mainly just me holding up the conversation. Long story short he ghosted me. I was young and naive then and I have DEFINITELY glowed up! So now that I’m more confident I started posting more photos of myself on Snapchat, like outfit pics and just overall cute stuff (photos included are what I’m talking about!) I’m now going to be a senior in high school and this same dude hits me up and he asks me out on a date! Of course I say yes and we go out to eat or whatever and I think it went very well!! When he dropped me off at my place he hugged me and it all seemed really good!! But I then texted him saying “thank you for the food, it was fun hanging out” then he said something and I left it at “we should chill some other time if you’re down! “ and I believe he agreed and after that I left him in read just to be safe and he hasn’t messaged me since! I posted another picture on my story and he saw it but never messaged me back. Am I overreacting or should I expect what happened sophomore year to happen again??
