Group B strep & UTI

Apparently I’m one of the 25-30% of (healthy) women who have group B strep bacteria living in their gut and vagina. But I’m prone to infections and just finished treating a UTI with Clindamycin HCL (prescribed by my OB - allergic to penicillin)

Wondering if anyone else has had to deal with BGS in pregnancy and what delivery was like being pumped with antibiotics.

I’ve heard any antibiotic use during pregnancy is less than ideal but I’m wondering since I am only 7+ weeks if it’s that big a deal.

I’m hoping I don’t get another UTI, or a yeast infection as a result of antibiotic use 😩😳 Did anyone have recurring UTI’s with GBS?
