Paying daycare provider paid vacation.
I have been running my inhome daycare for 14 years.
In that time I have only closed it 13 days. 13! That includes my honeymoon, hospital time from giving birth to 3 children and attending 3 funerals. I even work when I am sick. I litterally do not get a break.
I have been throwing around the idea of adding 5 paid vacation days the last week of June into my daycare contract.
I watch no more than 6 full time children at a time. My weekly rates are $115 for infants, $105 for children 2 and up and $25 a day for part time. I’m open Monday through Friday 6am-6pm.
I am a small daycare and I litterally can’t afford to take time off if it is unpaid. What are your thoughts on this? Good idea or bad?? Need some optimism and or opinions here 😞
