Best time for 3D ultrasound?

I am at almost 26 weeks, and we would really like to have a 3D. What would be a good week to go? I was thinking around 30-32, just because I feel like having it too soon will leave me wanting to do another at some point.

This was my baby boy Noah at 23w5d. I'm now 26w2d and I'll have another ultrasound done at 27w5d and then one every 2 week's after that.

I did mine at 17 weeks..and he showed his face.. I want to go back to do another one since I am goin to be 28 weeks

I got mine done at 27w and she kept her foot on her forehead and hand covering half of her face. As curious as I am to see her whole face I'll keep it a mystery until the day we meet. 😍💜

24 weeks 5 days. He's stubborn so only got half of his face but it was still really cool! Thinking of doing a private one at 30 weeks to (hopefully) get his whole face as this was just at the doctor and they didn't try for more than a couple minutes.

I was told 26-30 weeks is the ideal time. My 4d ultrasound is rescheduled  for this Wednesday morning.

I'm 26wk 4dys and have a 3D at 11 this morning... Tech said anywhere between 26-40wk will you catch your lil ones fat face...I got a 3D when I was 16 weeks for gender reveal and my lil one was so skinny I'm hoping to get a chunky face today!!! Then I will come back for one last 3D at 36 weeks along with belly casting!!! I will post my pictures here if you want an example!!!

I am going and their website says between 26-32 weeks I believe. I wanted to go at either 27.5 wk or 28.5 weeks on the weekend and the person at the place said I'd get better shots at 28.5 weeks. I did one around 29 weeks with my DS and he had a nice chubby face but he still had enough room in there to see him. If you go past 32 wks you risk baby being very smushed in there.
