sushi?

if there's any safe sushi to eat can someone please tell me. I want to take my sister to sushi court but obviously I'd want some sushi too lol. I'm 9 weeks and all I've read is that California rolls should be safe. just wondering if anyone else knew any others.

In Japan and other Asian countries raw sushi is considered an important, healthy part of neonatal care.

Anything that is cooked, or fish low in mercury, also make sure it's fresh. My doctor said it's okay as long as you don't over do it and not eat it like everyday, but don't be too concerned since pregnant women in Asian countries eat it all the time and they're fine.

I ate sushi with all my pregnancies. It’s an assumed risk. It’s *incase* the fish is bad, parasites, etc. I always eat high end sushi and have never had any issues. My dr said once or twice a month would be totally safe.

cali rolls are generally considers safe if theyre freshly made and made with imitation crab. long theyve been chilling the more likely Listeria could be a problem just like lunch meats. and i agree with the post above cooked sushi that isnt too high in mercury should be fine, take a list with you of fish that are ok and ask them whats in theres.

As long as the fish is thoroughly cooked, low in mercury, and the rice is fresh, it’s okay to indulge :)

I researched that sushi actually isn’t bad for you when pregnant. Be sure to eat it fresh and go to a restaurant that is clean and you trust. But only if you’re comfortable. I went back to eating all sushi last week as I like raw salmon lol I’ve been healthy with no problems. But eat what makes you feel comfortable and do your own research. I don’t eat crab often as most of it is not real. Which I just found out!
