Can I breastfeed AND give formula occasionally to my newborn if they’re not gaining enough weight?

I don’t respond well to a pump and barely get an ounce out. I did order a Haaka but not sure how well that will work for me either.

You may have to choose one or the other. If you aren’t exclusively breast feeding and pumping you will dry up. Maybe hire a lactation consultant ? Breast milk is amazing and specifically made to your babies needs so I’d absolutely try as much as you can! If not, formula

I'll be doing this for my twin girls. I don't want to exclusively breast feed as I did with my son & it just wasn't for us, I managed 3 months but they were exhausting, for the both of us! So this time around I'll be bottle feeding but I want to make sure the girls get all the good stuff at the beginning, so I'll be attempting to pump - something I never did with my son! I'll hopefully manage enough milk for some bottles a day but I'll mostly be doing formula. It's perfectly safe and normal to do this, so yeah you can breastfed & formula feed! ☺️✨

You should talk with your doctor, but if your baby isn’t gaining weight I think supplementing with formula is necessary.

Of course you can do both. Offer the breast then the other then the formula!
