Mixed feelings?!

Hey ladies, 
I am pregnant with baby #4 which is a boy. My family and friends keep asking me am I having a baby shower and I reply, “no” they ask why and I say “well this is my 4th and I still have some things left over from my son 7 years ago”. What would you all do?

this is my 4th and after my first I stopped having them. I feel like I should be the only one finding my pregnancies lol especially at this point!

7 years is a long time in between babies. Have a baby sprinkle, register for only what you need. plus it will allow family and friends to feel involved and just say it's a welcome to your baby. you can even do it after baby is born. every baby is a blessing and should be celebrated ❤️

I’m not having one either and this is just my 2nd. I still have everything from my 3yr old son and even though I’m having a girl this time I’m still not. Instead if people ask if I need anything I’ve been saying buy a box of nappies (diapers) or stuff for my like maternity pads or breast pads.

That’s really noble of you. My first son just turned 7 and I wish I had some of his things to hand down. I just finished making a baby wish list on Amazon and was thinking how I used to have all these things already lol. I say you stick to your answer of “no.” But be flexible too. If a family member surprises you with a shower or even tells you that they reallllllly want to shower you , let them ❤️ It’s sweet that you have people that want to shower you with love (and gifts). Maybe if someone is truly persistent make a registry that is really light or maybe encourage something different.. Like a prayer shower! Folks come and write down a prayer for u and baby, the host hangs the prayers on a clothesline while folks eat , drink and mingle. Then at some point the guests read aloud their prayers or best wishes if they want to  ❤️ A baby shower doesn’t have to be all about big gifts . Maybe you can think of a way that gives folks a chance to come together, touch your belly, eat cake and say congratulations 🎉!😁

I understand. I'm not sure if I want a baby shower. I may do something small if his mom wants to throw one. I am having a girl this time so I definitely will need some girl things lol.

I would say if they want to throw you one go for it lol. I am also not having one becuase I am having another boy and have all the stuff still from my 18 month old
