Anyone elses kid not speaking yet? Mine has said about 10-15 words but the problem is that each word was only spoken about 2-3 times and then shell never say it again. Its like she just wanted to show me she can say it but will not repeat it. At the 18month appointment, her doctor said it was okay since its at least 10 words but nothing has changed yet. Still babbling and no new words have been spoken. No "old" words have been repeated. She does understand me when i speak to her though. I read books to her several times a day and i explain everything to her that im doing. I need some reassurance. I think at the 2 yr checkup im going to tell the doc to refer me to a speech teacher
