Who's in the Delivery Room

First Time Mom here...

I asked my mom a few days ago about whether she would like me to make sure she is there when I deliver(she lives well over an hour away) and she emphatically said yes!

Then last night, without me prompting him, my husband said he didn't want her in the delivery room with us. Now I understand he doesnt really care for my mom, but she's my mom! The support of someone so close to me that has already been through childbirth seems invaluable. I told him that giving birth was about me and is this incredible (and traumatic) experience and that she will be there. He seemed upset but let it go. I felt kinda bad after since this is obviously going to be a big experience for him also...

Do you think I was too harsh? Am I wrong to want her there? Anyone been through it and had their mom in the room?
