My boyfriend hates my male best friend

Back story: I tried a relationship with a guy in 2012, had sex maybe 5 times within a year and mutually decided we'd be better as best friends. In 2015 I met a different guy and hit it off, turning into a relationship. Feb 2017 my bf found out that there was once a sexual interaction and instantly had a problem with me hanging with the bestie so I literally cut off all ties. Ended the friendship in hopes of pleasing this man for relationship. This March we broke up over something unrelated and in that month I started talking to the bestfriend again. Literally as a friend, nothing more. Mid April we restored our relationship.Yesterday when my boyfriend was at work I ran some home errands and the best friend was with me. This morning I mentioned it to him and he blew up, accusing me of cheating. I'm really sick of him assuming it's something and even my best friend has told him theres nothing sexual with us & hasn't been for years. My question is throw away the 5 year friendship or the 1.5 year relationship?
