Nervous to wear tampons

What is the best tampons to wear ? my bday is coming up and I can’t wear a pad or it’ll show through my dress . Is it hard to wear ? Is it comfortable ? Does blood ever leak through the Tampon ?? Does it hurt when you walk ? I’m not a virgin so hopefully it doesn’t feel like I’m forcing it inside but I’m nervous & don’t want any leaks although my bday plans are on the 5th & 6th day of my bday (it last 6days but is completely gone by the 7th day meaning no spots at all) so it won’t be as heavy but still help
