TTC, but just diagnosed with cancer?!

I don't know if anyone has dealt with this, but I was just diagnosed with cancer about two months after we decided to start trying to have a baby. Fortunately, I don't have to go through chemotherapy. I've had various surgeries and blood work, etc. though. Does anyone know how this will effect trying to become pregnant?

it totally depends, most often women are still able to conceive with no problems to the baby at all. Happened to my neighbor and she has 4 perfect kids now!!!! Best wishes to you :)

If you don't mind me asking was it female cancer? I had pre cancer cells on my cervix so I had to do a cone biopsy where they cut a chunk of my cervix out and I still can conceive I will just have to get stitched.

I don't think you will have any problems. This happened to a friend of mine and she has a beautiful son

You'll have to discuss this with your oncologist. So many factors other than chemo and surgery.

I've heard people being okay after but then it could go the other way. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, I hope the best for you in the future.

I'm 42 years old and was diagnosed with endometrial adenocarcinoma while undergoing testing to assess if pregnancy at my age and with my other health concerns would be an option.  My cancer specialist and my fertility specialist feel that my treatment will definitely allow me to become pregnant.  You have to be as proactive as possible and ask your doctor(s) as many questions as possible.  Don't be shy.  Ask, ask, ask.
