Has anyone used Makena?

Has anyone used Makena? I just got the first bill for $2250 for a month worth! My doctor insist I need it because my last son was 36 weeks. 
Pros and cons. Thank you
Edit- I had no idea how much it would cost... I was told my insurance would cover it, but I guess it did not as I was billed for it.

I am, call Mekena and ask for the company assistance. They were able to knock my payment from 3 grand to 50 dollars. They will be able to immediately tell you if you qualify for the co-pay assistance. Just call their number and they’ll be able to transfer you to the proper people when you ask for co-pat assistance information.

My daughter came 36w and 5 days. We opted out because she was barely a preemie. Also, I didn't like the increased risks of this little one being a still born. Since you had yours at 36 w and it's that expensive, I'd decline.
