(Trigger Warning)The Castration Cure (Trigger Warning)

I've just started watching a documentary called the Castration Cure and my questions are the following: Do you think that repeat offending pedophiles that qualify or will eventually qualify for release should be medically castrated prior to release? If you disagree with this practice, do you truly think a person can be rehabilitated when their sexual preference is children?

My own opinion is the following: There is no way to rehabilitate a person's sexual preference. If Castration truly did rid a person of any and all sexual desire, then perhaps it would be a solution. However, I have read that it's not always the case and the desire to sexually abuse a child can still be strong enough for them to act upon it regardless of castration. If a person is convicted of sexually abusing a child the only cure that works 100% is a lead pill.

Very interested in what y'all think about this because it's possible I have a close minded/dated opinion about this topic!
