my sister just told me & mom she's trans. **UPDATE**
My sister told us last week & for obvious reasons it took us by surprise. They had never exhibited male traits or even hinted at it. Yea they won't wear "girly" clothes but neither do I. We did however have an inkling that they were in the LGBT+ community but just figured they were lesbian. I mean they never expressed interest in girls or boys. I love them they're literally my best friend. They went with me through my entire pregnancy. Every single appointment & even the birth they held my legs as I pushed. It's strange and I'm trying to get used to it. I mean they've been my baby sister for over 16years & now they're going to be my brother. They're scared to tell our baby brothers & also our sister. I'm trying to get used to calling them he but we're trying not to do it in public yet because they're not ready for anyone outside of the family to know. They don't know it yet but I'm going to surprise them with the haircut they want this weekend. It's sad too because my son loves his aunt & recognizes they're face & voice but he won't remember them as they're aunt. They say that's a good thing that they don't want him to remember them like that but as his uncle because if he does remember that it'll be harder for him to process. Long story short I love my sibling & accept them for who they are. Yes, it's a process. Yes, It's conflicting feelings for us & them. Yes, if you have a problem with it then go f**k yourself. **UPDATE** I took them to buy the type of clothes they wanted they have great style. I finally had enough money to take them to get their cut. They decided that they want to donate it to "hair we share" it's an organization like locks of love. Imagine super long beautiful hair down to the mid-butt chopped down to about 2-3inches. It's funny they woke up the next morning and forgot it was gone. They used to get tangled up in it.

We went to do laundry this weekend and they went to the women's restroom to get paper towels to clean my son's mouth. Out of nowhere a lady said " hey hey hey that's the ladies room!" then they turned around & said "yeah I know." The lady apologized. My sibling was so happy that the lady genuinely mistook them for a man. We high fived.

My husband noticed that people kept staring at my sibling & I while in the store with my son.

I didn't notice until we were leaving. My husband was talking to a friend of his & he asked who the dude was that was with us. Then it donned on us people thought me & my sibling were a couple. Most of the time in the store was my sibling & me playing with the baby and walking around with him. He's almost 11 months so he's wanting to walk. I told my sibling what was said & they proceeded to slick back their hair & say " I'm too young for you!"....."You cougar!" lol. They're so goofy. God I love them. They finally told our little brothers. The bigger little brother thinks it's cool that they're going to have a big brother. The youngest brother is a little confused. My younger sister, my transitioning siblings older sister, still doesn't know. It's not because they trying to hide it but because our sister is thick in the head. We call my sibling peppermint patty.

We ,me & mom, call them "sir". Our sister would get it & understand if she wanted to spend time with us but she doesn't. Well I'll keep updating anonymously until my sibling wants everyone to know who they are.
