SO and Your Family
So my question is this: how important do you think it is that a SO fit into your family culture & dynamics?
My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 pretty intense months. He is 30 and I'm 27. We are both looking for or husband/wife and we think we could work. But we seem to be at a fork in the road. I come from a very conservative and feisty family (Irish/German Catholic).
The problem is that I'm terrified my family will not accept him. He is covered in tattoos, doesn't believe in God, and has a dark past (worked in the adult entertainment industry [not as a performer!] and dealing pot). He has turned his life around. This man treats me like a queen. Exactly how your father always said a man should treat his little girl. So what do you think?
