What is your coming out story?!?

I find these so, so interesting to read. How did you come out, who did you come out to, and when did you finally get the courage to?

I didn’t really have a choice. I had a doctor’s appointment and my mom was in the room. The doctor wanted to get to know me a little bit better. She asked a few questions then asked what I feel for my sexual orientation. I said no comment and I saw my mom adjust herself in her seat and I knew she knew right there. In the car she asked me about it and wouldn’t let me off without an explanation. So I told her I liked girls and she didn’t care. In a good way. She thinks it’s hilarious when I joke about it. She jokes about it too.

My coming out story is I haven't. 😂 I'm still in the closet

I was bi-curious in high school, my best friend at the time was my first girl kiss 🙊 I never told my family how I felt at the time  because they’re really religious, and still are. When I met my wife now, I was 22 and she was in a whole relationship with another woman, and I was in a whole relationship with a man. I started developing feelings for her and I broke it off with my boyfriend. It took her a while to leave her girlfriend cuz they lived together and all, but she did it. I told my family about my sexuality about 2 months after she asked me to be her girlfriend. I didnt wanna cause any drama in my family, but I really loved this woman and it wasn’t fair to me or to her for me to keep our relationship a secret. I told my mom first and she didnt take it well at all. It’s been about 2 years since I came out and it’s still hard for me to talk to my family. With them being all religious and whatnot, they kinda turned their backs on me at first 😞 we talk every now and then, but I know it’s gonna be a long time before they finally accept who I am. I dont have any regrets about choosing to live my own life and choosing to be happy. I married my wife and we have such a great life together. We’re expecting our first baby next year and hopefully our little blessing will make my family realize that there’s more important things in life than our differences ❤️
