Anyone have an ECV done?

I'm scheduled for this Friday and a little nervous! Anyone have any insight or words of wisdom? I'm seeing a chiro st the moment (she specializes in Webster technique) so I'm hoping I won't need it come Friday!

Had the ECV done this morning. Unfortunately she would not budge, but no emergencies or anything. I’ll recount the process since I really didn’t know what to expect going into it either. 
I was told to have no food after midnight in case of an emergency Caesarean, so I checked into the Labor and Delivery at 9am with my Hubbie and overnight bags all packed in the car just in case. I signed some consent forms and I was brought to one of the pre-labor triage rooms in the hospital, these are all private and have bathrooms, etc. The RN started with my blood pressure and placed the belly band and wireless monitors on my tummy to measure little ones heart rate  and perform a NST. They then did a sonogram to check that she was still sitting breech. Indeed she was. 
They then hooked up my IV and took some blood prior to infusing a full bag of fluid into me. This took another 20 minutes. The RN then checked by sonogram the amniotic fluid levels to confirm that there was enough space for her to move. There was. Next came the subcutaneous shot of (I forget, but it’s the uterine muscle relaxer) and a wait of 5-7 minutes before it kicks in. They warned me that my heart rate would increase, and it did. I was hooked up to a pulse-ox the whole time. 
The OB then came in and went right to work with some veeery deep and forceful pressure on my abdomen. I have a small pregnant belly and my ab muscles are still quite tight. Unfortunately they think this is why they can’t get her head to move down and the doctor was really working hard against my own muscles. I closed my eyes and couldn’t watch but my husband said he could easily move her little butt and legs, but the head wouldn’t budge even though he was pressing 3-4 inches deep and trying very hard to get her to somersault. He tried twice, and then stated that it did not seem very likely to happen. Disappointing, but I’m still glad I tried. And the pain (while very real) is fleeting and only a couple of minutes in reality. My eyes got a little watery, but I tried to just go to another place. If you have been preparing for natural labor, it’s very much a time to practice your mindfulness or breathing techniques. 
Afterwards they put me on another full bag of fluids and brought me some food. My blood pressure was slightly elevated for me (130/90) so I had to stay while in the hospital until it went down. They also checked my urine for protein and blood for anything abnormal just to be safe. I was in “recovery” for about an hour. Luckily a friend who is a NP in another department came and chatted and we also took the time to talk to both the RN and Dr about and schedule for a Caesarean around my due date. A midwife I’d seen also came in for a chat. 
I’m still hoping she will turn but I don’t plan to attempt another ECV. All told it was 3 hours in the hospital room. I’m glad I did it, but it’s quite the process and it just seems like she’s stubbornly comfortable where she is. My C-Section is scheduled for 7/17/18 at 7:30 am... and I’m coming to peace with that idea. Who knows if she will surprise us.

I had one done last week at 37+2 and baby turned! Hurt pretty bad but had 2 docs pushing hard (one was teaching the other the technique) but was only a few minutes. Hoping it works!

I had mine done at 37 weeks was nervous before hand but for me it was painless.. the worst part was not being able to eat! Lol this is my 3 rd child and I have a good amount of amino fluid so I think that helped a lot... I went to hospital around 10 am they monitored baby for a few hours did a few ultrasounds then dr came in did more ultrasounds talked to me offered to put in an epidural just in case it turned into an emergency c section sort of thing I declined signed the papers then him and another dr worked together (one at baby’s butt on at his head) to move him it took about 5 mins then they monitored him for another hour did more ultrasounds (finally let me have some food) and sent me on my way... I’m 38 weeks now and he is still head down 👍🏻🙏🏻... good luck to you I hope everything goes great! Oh btw I did read online about them giving you something to relax your uterus this was not offered to me so not sure about that,

As I mentioned on your other post, I’m scheduled for tomorrow morning, so I’ll let you know how it goes! Pretty nervous about it... esp packing a bag for the unlikely event that it turns into her birthday. 
I’ve felt a lot of movement the past two days, esp after the moxibustion yesterday. Hoping she’s been going in the right direction.

i have one scheduled for friday morning also and i am so nervous.  does anyone know how long it takes or how long you will be at the hospital?  will we be there for a couple hours or all day?
