Feeling guilty

I just had my daughter on the fourth. Ive been having a very hard time adjusting to everything. The one thing that's been on my mind though is my ex and how I never told him...it really makes me sad...but he got so abusive towards me and I got scared...now I'm debating on letting him be in her life but just the thought scares me...advice?
