Nervous about first appointment

This is my second pregnancy, and hopefully first baby due in March of 2016.I had a miscarriage in March of this year, and when I was pregnant with that child, my first appointment was at around 5 1/2 weeks (turns out we weren't as far along as we thought). This time, I want to wait until I'm closer to 8 or 9 weeks because I think we will be able to know more around then. I'm so excited about this baby, but terrified that I'll lose this one too since my very first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Anyone else have a successful pregnancy after their first pregnancy ended in miscarriage?
