IUD & my cramping.. related?? 😭

Ever since I got my IUD i have horrible cramping when my period rolls around. Usually no blood, but the hormones and cramps are unbelievable. This past week ive been cramping nonstop all day for the past two maybe three days.. is this normal? Could it be ovary cysts or just normal for an IUD? If it is normal, is there any other remedies for cramping (besides midol & heating pads) help a girl out 🤦🏽‍♀️😫 I would call my doctor but it’s been so difficult to even get her on the phone.
