Rx or not

Soooo... Been "trying" for 6 months. Have only had 1 natural period the first month after going off the pill. Had 2 more after needing to take a Rx (don't know the name off the top of my head). Both we 45+ day cycles since the Rx wasn't given until I was way over due and still getting negative at home pref. tests.

Had a progesterone test on day 21, found out today that it says I haven't ovulated yet. Doc is offering Clomid, but I'm just not sure if that's what we should do.

Anyone else have insight into risks/cons?

Gonna talk to hubby too, but having seen it mentioned multiple times with and without enthusiasm on here I thought I'd try to get any insight the web can offer...
