How to put a tampon in...😭

I have tried everything. My mom has explained it to me (she wasn’t in the bathroom with me, don’t worry), but I have no idea how to do it the right way... I have watched videos, tried Vaseline on the applicator, tried different positions, and so much more. I just can’t seem to get it in! Can you lovely ladies share tips on how you were able to get one in for the first time? I’m so sick of pads, plus sex is going to be awful the first time if I’m not used to something being up there!
