Change my birth control?

I got on birth control a month ago this is my first period being on it (mine is called Larissa) I didn’t get on it for being sexually active persay but it’s good for that in the future. I mostly got on it for my period flow which is normal super heavy. The doctor said it should help the flow, and my cramps, and pms. I never usually had cramps or if I did they wouldn’t be bad. But now since I started my birth control they are horrible, and I seem to be yelling more. Should I change my birth control or not since it’s only a month.
