What tests are done at 10 week blood draw?

I’m 37 and this is my 3rd baby. My first is 17 and second 13 and I’ve never had a blood draw at 10 weeks  I know it’s to check for abnormalities but what exactly?

Nips tests for trisomy 13, 18, 21 and turners. Can also determine triploidy and gender. Spina bifida can only be tested for via amnio bc it looks for the protein found in spinal fluid leaking into the amniotic fluid. Nips is NOT diagnostic. It gives you the “likelihood” of a potential issue. The only diagnostic tests are CVS and amnio- good luck!!

Are you getting a nuchal translucency scan at 12 weeks? Usually you have a blood test just before that so they can look at the results together to determine if you have any risk factors for Down syndrome etc.
