Advice for new long distance relationship!!

I’m leaving for college in 2 months and my boyfriend is staying in our hometown at community college. We have been together for a year and a half and I have no idea what to do. We have talked about it a lot and agreed to try to make it work but it seems like I have a lot more faith in us working out then does. Anyone have advice on how to make long distance work?? I’ll only be a 3 and a half car ride away from him.
