How should I handle this?

Okay so first of all me and my husband have been together for 11 years. We have 2 little ones and a healthy marriage. I met up with my friend today to go shopping and it's the first get away I have had in awhile and he had the kids took them swimming at his friends house and I told him to not drink because he had the kids. He agreed. He drinks beer sometimes with dinner but since I figured his friend would be drinking I just wanted him to be responsible. Long story short he drives home drunk with the kids. He was being so rude to me and just acting stupid like wasn't making sense at one point yelled really loud and cursed right next to my son's ear. They were scared and wanted to leave so I got their stuff and left with them. Im shocked that this even happen he has never done anything like this before. Tomorrow when he wakes up I have no idea how to handle.ot because I think this is serious he could have hurt our kids by driving. drunk with them. I don't know if I should stay gone a few days or what. I need him to know this is serious.
