Tips Dos and Donts for successful ivf???

Hi Guys,
Please can you offer some ‘Dos and Don’ts’ during the ivf process??
I started the down reg injections 6 days ago. 
The only advice I got from my hospital was to eat healthily and drink plenty of water. 
I really hope it will be successful first time round, so if you have any tips, that would be great.

The water advice is a good one.  I drank 3L a day and never had bloating issues.  I also stopped working out during injections to let my body focus on making eggs. I resumed after transfer (went hiking in the alps during the 2ww!). I also really, really recommend meditation. It will calm you and look up the studies done about it - higher success rates in patients who meditate!  MindfulIVF is a great app for this.

Working out helps with stress levels and getting the blood flowing. Nothing stressful though, maybe 20 minutes of walking.

No alcohol for me while taking the meds and 1-2 weeks before the transfer none for my husband either, was the recommendation. They also told me that sports are good, no heavy lifting and more mellow sports like swimming that are a bit more easy on your ovaries.

Don’t over book yourself during this time, give your self permission to take time for you. Your body is going through a lot in this process. So say no to people and don’t take on too much. With taking care of myself I continued eating healthy, getting sleep, and light exercise.
