Am I wrong ?

So my boyfriend is texting me while he’s on the train to ... I think back his aunt’s place. Anyway, so he’s like “I wanna tell you this story these girls were talking about. Wild asses” so I asked (jokingly but it’s text message so you can never really interpret the tone) “why would you be ease dropping anyway?”. I kid you not, he blacked on me. He says “fuck has gotten into you.. I ease dropped because I could and they were kinda talking to me anyways” and all that jazz, point is .. he got a bit defensive. So I barked back because I’m not going to sit here and be spoken to like a kid that’s done something wrong you know ? So I asked what he would do if the shoe was on the other foot. He says he doesn’t care and dismissed the conversation. I cried because I grew angry... he didn’t bother to acknowledge my side in the whole thing. Am I wrong for reacting the way I did?? How would you have reacted??

I’m not controlling or possessive. I was joking. But texting causes a lot of misinterpretation.
