Question about HSV & a 1 year old

I have a 1 year old son. Most of my family doesn’t know that I have HSV 1 but in the genital area. I’ve never had a cold sore. Only 1 breakout in the genitals. My sister gave my son a sip of water out of my straw. I see so many posts where kids are contracting hsv & passing away. So scary! My question is, do you think he’s in danger from that one sip? Anon because I’m a little ashamed.
