Getting used to pregnancy body
I’m a few days shy of 17 weeks pregnant and the last couple days have felt really odd about my baby bump. Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond excited to be pregnant and have been waiting for the moment for my bump to show but this awkward transitional stage of looking like I’m either gaining weight or growing a baby bump is weird to me. I’m not used to seeing my body like this (first pregnancy) and am getting used to my new body that I love but feel insecure about. It’s going to sound like I’m complaining but it’s definitely just taking some adjusting to not wearing my old clothes, reminding myself that I’m pregnant and not just gaining weight and sleeping in a way that’s comfortable for my bump.
I’ve been trying to wear my regular clothes for as long as possible but this weekend bought a bunch of maternity shirts and feel so much better and confident!! I definitely look less “is she gaining weight??” And more baby bump! So glad to have given in to buy maternity clothes and to be able to show off our growing baby 💗
