He told after 8 years he doesn’t want a baby!

So I’ve been with my partner for 8 years. Last night after two years of trying he admitted he didn’t want a baby. I wasn’t as shocked as I thought I would be, but I was a little heartbroken. I am so confused as to what I should do, he doesn’t want kids. I think it might be with me or maybe in general.

Is it selfish to just want to walk away now. 😔. I didn’t say much to him after I just kept quiet about my breaking heart. I can’t see any point of discussing the matter. He was loud and clear. I love him but and we’ve been engaged for 6 years and he never ever plans to get married.

I feel like I’ve been making bad decisions when it comes to us. I don’t even trust my gut anymore. It would be nice to hear what others think. 😔. I’m dreading going home tonight to him now and having to just be fake. Luckily I’m away on a work trip for a few weeks.
