what to expect at a 2 week postpartum check up?

this is my 3rd baby but the last 2 I only had a check up at 6 weeks. I had a vaginal delivery but the dr wants to check me at 2 weeks this time. anyone know what I should expect at this one? I dont really feel like going lol

My dr is having me come in at 3 weeks. My first was a 6 week Check up as well. I’m sure they’ll just check to see how you’re healing and tell you what you can and can’t do at that point.

the 2 week check was just mainly asking me questions. how am I feeling, any postpartum depression, and problems,  etc. dr. also fely on on my stomach to check uterus to see how well its shrinking.

It’s just a regular check up. The guidelines have changed and postpartum women are supposed to get sooner and mire frequent check ups to catch any possible problems. A large part of maternal deaths are postpartum we are trying to reduce the mortality rate.

Here in Adelaide both my daughter and I have to see the doctor for a 2 week check up and a 6 week one
