Ok this is probably a stupid question and it was awhile ago. I’ve been reading a lot of stories about women in relationships can be raped and their stories so now I’m thinking back but I’m not sure if this would fall under rape. Before my ex husband and I were married he went out drinking , the next morning I was upset he stayed out all night and I was playing a video game in bed. He wanted to have sex but I didn’t , I told him no but he tried convincing me anyway with foreplay. I still said no but he started to have sex with me anyway . I told him no and refused to go with it. He got mad and said whatever and went to get off but I didn’t want him angry because he would ignore me for hours and stay on his phone. So I told him I wanted to and we had sex. I never considered it rape since I eventually gave consent. We divorced for other reasons but I want actual opinions

I knew he was going to ignore me because he’s done it many times , anytime I said something that he didn’t like he would get a look and say whatever then I was treated like I was less than dirt. He even admitted after we split whenever he said whatever it was so he could get his way

We are divorced because eventually it turned from verbal abuse to physical abuse. He put me in the hospital from suffocation and tossing me like a rag doll. But that was years after this situation happened
