Newborn essentials?

We are not having a baby shower because traditionally Jews wait to celebrate when the baby is born and in the world. This means no gifts, presents, etc. I totally get why my heritage sticks to this for

Many reasons, but I also feel very unprepared for my baby to come home since all we have is a bassinet. We will have a party at 4-6weeks after she is here where we expect to get stuff for the baby then.

Can you ladies who have already had babies recommend the absolute newborn essentials you needed and used in the first two weeks of the baby coming home? (I know bassinet, stroller, some onesies, swaddles, car seat, diapers). What else is a must for right away needs?
