when did your baby's heart start beating ?

My baby only has a sac and yolk I'm around 6 weeks pregnant... anyone elses babies heartbeats show up later ?? everyone I know keeps saying oh I had a heartbeat at 5 -6 weeks! and it's less than reassuring.

I didn't hear my babies heartbeat until 8 weeks, but that was my first appointment

I had a scan at 5+6 and I only saw the same as you. I go back a week tomorrow to see if  we can see more. Doctors told me it was perfectly normal although I’m crazy paranoid something is wrong!

A baby's heart starts to form in week 3 and four after conception, so there will be a heartbeat. Each doctor, however, is different at scheduling when you will have your first appointment at which you will hear the baby's heartbeat, usually. The further the heart is developed, the easier it would be to hear on the ultrasound wand. We heard our first babys heartbeat around 5 weeks but lost the baby. Then the next baby, we heard his heartbeat at 6 weeks.
