Kidney Disease

I just want to sit in a ball and cry. My husband had been a diabetic for the last few years. His microalbumin/creatinine ratio was 124, which is rather high. It looks indicative of kidney disease. His microalbumin and creatinine levels are normal, but the ratio is high. The doctor said right now his kidneys are working fine, but there was clearly damage done.

Has anyone ever had this? How did you cope? How are you coping? Please someone ease my mind.
