Should husbands friend have his mail forwarded to his own place

This is silly just wanted to hear other takes on it.

His friend lived with us for about 5 months. He’s never had his own place (27) and his dad ended up passing away and his mom moved in with his older sister so we opened our doors to him and my husband got him a job with his company.

He moved out and all his mail comes here. I put it to the side but then it ends up sitting on my counter because my husband can’t remember to take it to him or because he’ll come over and literally leave it.

The only reason this bothers me (which I realize is not a huge problem) is because 1. They take up space. Lots of spam bank stuff (I assume or statements since I dont open anything ) so my counter looks like shit Or my drawer is full of his crap mail.

I told him when he came over “oh you gotta change your address on these” and he literally said “nah leave it here, I never go to my mailbox it’ll just fill up” ...

Lmao I literally said so better that it fills up my mailbox ? Conversation kind of diminished there. He ended up leaving and of course left the mail.

I just tossed it 🤷🏼‍♀️
