4 week ultrasound anybody?

So I went to my first appointment after a positive pregnancy test, once I had the ultrasound they determined I wasn’t as far as long as they thought I may be. I’m only 4 weeks and 4 days, doctor explain this happens frequently. The ultrasound only showed an embryo sac, which was empty. I go back next Friday, anyone ever had this happen? I’m nervous...

It is too early for anything to show. You should wait at least til week 8

I can tell you from person experience! This pregnancy I had an ultrasound done at 4 weeks and again at 5 weeks (and 1 or 2 days), and all they saw was a single empty sac. I went back at 7 weeks and turns out we have twins in there (di/di) and even then they had two strong heartbeats!
I’m 22 weeks now!

Yes I was like 5 weeks at my first ultrasound and there was no heartbeat bc I was to early! I think it picks up around 6-8 weeks!

That happened to me. I have a history of miscarriages and I woke up bleeding at 4 weeks 4 days. Had an u/s and there was a sack but nothing inside. Went back in 2 weeks and saw baby and heartbeat. Go back again in 2 days at almost 9 weeks - hoping for a good scan :)

Sonographer here Way to early to see anything .  They should have waited too at least 8 weeks to do first scan .

It looks the exact same as mine. This was either 5 or 6 weeks i go back monday for a transvaginal u/s at 8 weeks.

They could barely see anything with the regular ultrasound for me and I was 6 1/2 weeks so they did a internal ultrasound and we saw baby and the heartbeat.

I found out i was pregnant at 2 1/2 weeks the could find anything till i was 6 weeks ! It may just be 2 early to tell ..

I had the same thing happen I ended up going back for another ultrasound 2 weeks later and they could see the baby and a heart beat.
