I think my period is here four days early

As I stated, my period is supposed to start in four days. Well last night I starting spotting brown and now I’m spitting a little red. I put a ramp on in just in case. Why would I be starting so early?? Is it just spotting? I was hopeful it was implantation but I don’t know if that spotting can be red and how much
