What happens if baby doesn’t do 10 kicks in 2 hours?

My OBGYN always told me to do regular kick counts at this point in the pregnancy. (I’m 35 weeks and 3 days now) I never had issues with baby girl moving constantly but today I realized I haven’t felt her move all day! So I decided to actually do my 2 hour kick count. I’m now 1 hour into my 2 hours and I still haven’t felt her. I know I have an hour left but I realized I never asked my doctor about what I do if I don’t meet the kick count? Am I supposed to try something else to get or moving or go to L&D.;

Try drinking something cold and/or sweet. I find I feel my girl best if I lay on my back but others seem to say left side. If you still havent felt her after two hours call l&d; and ask them what to do

My ob told me that you do not do kick counts every hour. You should have 2 or 3 active periods a day where you can count 10 clear movements. In between, you should feel little movements here and there. They sleep a lot in the belly so they're not active all day long.  I have 4 kids and especially with my 2 daughters  (who turned out to be good sleepers) they'd be quiet for quite awhile.

Cold sugary drink and lie on your left side.   If you feel nothing ring L&D.;    It could just be you have been too busy to notice any movement x

Ty drinking ice cold water and if you don’t get a kick let your doctor know. I just realized my peanut is a little inactive himself—if he doesn’t move soon I’ll have to call.

I never counted kicks. every baby is different. every day is different. they will have busy days & lazy days. as long as you feel some movement you're fine imo

My midwife just said to take note of the babies schedule and not to count kicks. She also said not to hesitate to call if I'm stressing.

you're suppose to start the 2 hours when they start moving at their active time. you can also try music, something super cold, something sugary, a flashlight, pushing the stomach around, a few jumping Jacks, laying on the side. if none work then you can go to l&d; where theyll likely hook you up and baby will make you look like a liar (usually) lol
