An update (and thank you) to my post about my foster daughter

I made a post the other day about the little girl we are fostering (and then hopefully adopting) wanting to change her name. Thank you all for your suggestions. I did bring it up with her therapist who said it was normal and she has spoken about it before. She said she wants to go by the name Delia. I think that’s such a sweet name! That was her grandpa’s “secret nickname” for her and he passed away a few years ago. She is getting more acclimated to living here and we’re going to pick out a bookshelf for her this evening because she wants to start a book collection!

Also, thank you for the suggestion to the user who provided the advice on the fireworks. We did travel to a different city to avoid a lot of fireworks. There were still some small ones but nothing major which was very helpful for her.
