Two months no period and have pcos

So I haven't had a period in two months, hoping maybe I'll get one this month but by the looks of it I won't. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for three years..I'd been having regular periods since August .I don't want to test because I've been disappointed so many times I'm just scared to be let down again because it really takes a toll on the both of us...Should I test and just get it out of the way or try to lose some weight and see if my cycle goes back to normal again
