How many words are your 17-18 month olds saying?

a ton, but most aren't clear enough for anyone else to understand. planning on asking her dr about that later this month.. like instead of meow, it's more like yeowmmm? animal noises count too, for anyone who didn't know yet! clear words, probably only around 10.. mama/mommy, dada/daddy, baby, eat, cracker, O as in Cheerios, cookie, please.. 🤷 she also has over 20 signs and most of them are clear as day

We lost count after 50. All kids shine in different ways... my son is talking in 3 word sentences but when it comes to physicality... not so solid.

My son only consistently says dog and dad. However the last few weeks he's gotten a lot more vocal, and we're finding ourselves wonder if he said lots of different words, although none seem to be consistent, or even repeated. Seems like he will jump from 2 to 20 words suddenly perhaps.

Nothing. He babbles. That’s it. He says dada but not on purpose. We have a speech evaluation next week. My first was like this too though. Didn’t talk then boom one day he didn’t stop. But he was over 2 at that point.

Shes getting there. Id say 15 words are clear but she babbles a ton. But she understands everything we are saying and can follow instructions.
