Did your doctor run any tests after you had multiple early miscarriages?

Question

I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks in March. I had a "chemical pregnancy" at 5 weeks last month (June). Now I believe I am having another early miscarriage in the 5th week. 
I am worried this is going to continue to happen. What tests did your doctor run and what did they find?
Any recommendations on what I could do myself to help prevent this from happening again?

I would just like to clarify that a missed miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy are not the same. A chemical pregnancy is when you are pregnant but you end up getting your “period” which is really your body expelling the pregnancy. A missed miscarriage is when your baby stops living and your body doesn’t miscarry on its own (usually) or for several weeks after the baby stops growing. I had a missed miscarriage in March as well. I saw my GP after and he was wonderful. They took some blood tests to check certain levels and everything came back normal. He did tell me that if i has another miscarriage he would send me to an OB. I’m 35 so I think that’s why he said if I have one more he would send me. I think the standard is after 3 miscarriages you should get more specialized testing done. So I would contact your GP to see if he can refer you to an OB.

I has one miscarriage and was very concerned about it, so my midwife checked my progesterone. I had already had two healthy pregnancies so there was less cause for alarm but I was still worried. 
She had said if I had 2 in a row that we would run a bunch more tests.

I know that they can put you on progesterone if it happens which helps prevent miscarriages but they generally dont consider it unless they're past 6 weeks when they happen.
