how to tell the difference between BV and a yeast infection?

i know this is probably a dumb question, but how would you know if you have bv or a yeast infection?

I’ve had both and with bv it smells like fish literally like fish. It’s a very strong odor and I never had odor w a yeast so that’s how I was able to tell the difference. I only got it once thank god
