my ex broke up with me because i’m not allowed to have social media🤔 he told me even his 7 year old cousin has it and i’m
not allowed to have it. (i’m almost 16). my parents are very protective, and i can see their reasons for it. is it really that bad for me to almost be 16 and not have it? sometimes i want it just so i can be like everyone else but idk, it’s stressful🤦‍♀️

Because your father and mother are wiser, I believe honoring their decisions and boundaries is much more important rather then listening to someone who broke up with you because you wouldn’t change on their behalf. Even if you don’t understand why your parents are restricting you, obeying them shows a level of maturity and in the end is way more rewarding! In addition, if a guy isn’t willing to respect your parents’ decisions, sounds like he isn’t the one. The right guy will wait on you and honor your decisions.
