10dpo negative test

So I took a test this afternoon and it was negative. I’m really wanting this to be my month. I feel like I may have some symptoms but then again it may all be in my head. My areolas are darker and the veins in my breast all through my areolas are extremely prominent. And I had slight cramping/pinching pain in my lower abdomen. I don’t feel like I’m getting ready to start my period because I usually feel a lot different but I don’t know has anyone gotten a negative at 10dpo and gone on to get a positive a few days later?
