Ovulating

This is my husband and I second time trying to conceive. Back story, we have 1 together and both have 2 from a previous marriage. I am 30 he is 38 and our children range from almost 2 - 15. I have thyroid problems and a tilted uterus so it is a struggle. I did an ovulatiom test today for the 1st time and it had 2 lines.... I am soo geeked you would think i got a bfp but I never get a surge on these things... but my hubby is out of town and coming home late tonight... I am worried I may miss the window...
